April 2008 - Ex England, West Ham and Everton star, Tony Cottee visits Lowestoft to talk to learners about the football industry and deliver a training session, Tony scores but ends up on the losing side 7-5! March 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions welcome Donna Lennox as the new Peckham Centre Manager. July 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions win the 'Staff Training and Development Category' at the Basildon Business Awards 2008. July 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions commit to the Investors in Diversity Award July 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions announce that they will be running an E2E Football Programme in Grays from September at the NOVA Centre. Tony Cottee has agreed to partner in this project and 'The Tony Cottee Football Academy' will hope to reach those aspiring Coaches / Footballers. Ex - Fulham and Sheffield United player Rob Scott will be managing the programme, which Lifeskills eventually hope to roll out at other sites. August 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions have been re-accredited with the Investors in People Award. Managing Director Spencer Fearn stated "this shows our continued commitment to the development of our staff to ensure learners get the best possible experience when on a Lifeskills training programme, we are delighted to receive this award again". August 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions agree to sponsor the Away shirts for East Stirlingshire Football Club for the second season running, see www.eaststirlingfc.co.uk. October 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions secure a substantial Train to Gain and Apprenticeship contract in London. Over 2,500 starts are predicted on this contract over the next 3 years. November 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions achieve the MATRIX Information, Advice and Guidance award. The third award in the past 5 months. December 2008 - Lifeskills Solutions are delighted to announce a new partnership with O C S, Managing Director Spencer Fearn stated " we are extremely happy to be working with our colleagues at OCS and look forward to helping their staff achieve qualifications that will further improve what is already an outstanding business". Brian Cummins, OCS National Vocational Training Manager stated " I can see the relationship with Lifeskills growing from strength to strength as they assist OCS to become the employer of choice". |
